We built Hope Builders because CE should energize, not deplete.

Most continuing education is a box to check. Our trainings are interactive, grounded in current research, and designed for counselors, supervisors, addiction specialists, peer support providers, and DOT Substance Abuse Professionals — the professionals who actually do the work.

Every session is built on real Arkansas-licensure scenarios, the spirit of Motivational Interviewing, and the conviction that adult learners deserve honesty, respect, and skills they can use the next morning.

A note from the lead trainer
"Most CE I sat through felt like an apology — sorry we have to make you do this. I built Hope Builders to be the opposite. Adult learners deserve trainers who respect their time, their intelligence, and the messy reality of clinical practice."

— Dr. Kristy Burton, PhD, LPC-S

01

Clinical Ethics

Practical, jurisdiction-aware ethics training that respects clinicians' time and intelligence. We unpack real Arkansas-licensure dilemmas, board complaints, and decision frameworks you can use the next morning.

02

Motivational Interviewing

Foundations and advanced application of MI, taught by a current member of MINT, the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. Skills, spirit, and supervision through an MI lens.

03

Trauma-Informed Care

Multi-modal trauma frameworks across EMDR, Brainspotting, parts work, and trauma-focused CBT. We translate research into clinical decisions for the kind of cases you actually see.

04

Co-Occurring Disorders

Substance use plus mental health: integrated assessment, sequencing care, and the unglamorous logistics of working across systems. Built from years of DOT SAP and DVIP work.

05

Reflective Supervision

Supervision as an evocative, growth-oriented practice instead of a checklist. Grounded in MI and the supervisor competencies of the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling.
